Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.
The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei which means "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki which is "life force energy". So Reiki is actually "spiritually guided life force energy."

A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing. Many have reported miraculous results.

While everyone experiences different things, some benefits that one may notice when receiving a reiki session:

Come in with an open mind and curiosity.
You will lay down on a bed. Once comfortable, you will close your eyes and take deep, slow breaths while letting go of all tension in the body. You will slowly feel as if your body is melting into the table.
As you are breathing and relaxed, I will hold my hands over your body allowing our Creator to use my body as a vessel for the highest of energies to flow through me onto you. This is a wonderful energy to be in. If the client is comfortable, I may light place my hands on their head, shoulder, knees and feet. Touch is not necessary in this art of healing. The energy will flow to where it needs to go. You may feel sensations such as tingles, warmth or cooling. During this session, I will also align your chakras and get everything balanced and spinning again.
When the session is over, I will place my hand on your shoulder and tell you to take a few big deep breathes and wiggle your fingers and toes. This will bring your mind back to body and you will feel as if you have just had a lovely nap. You may feel rested and recharged. You may notice that discomforts of the body are no longer bothering you. That evening, you may sleep better than you have in weeks.

Breathe. Drink lots of water. Eat a small meal or snack before your session. Wear comfortable clothing.
If you are receiving distant reiki, please find a comfortable, distraction free space. Most clients find it easiest to get comfortable if they are lying down. You can have a pillow under your legs and your favorite blanket.
If your pet is having a session, it also needs to take place in an area of your home with minimal distractions. Other people can be in the room, but quiet and calm. No television on in the room we will be in.
This method of healing is gentle and relaxing.

As many as you like! Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Seasonally! It is not possible to have "too much" reiki.

Energy is not limited by time or space. Some people have reported that receiving Reiki distantly feels stronger.
For a Distant Healing session, you will find somewhere comfortable, such as a bed, couch or mat on the floor and lay down. This is not required but suggested. Your body will absorb the energy with you laying down feeling relaxed, already sleep, running errands or having dinner with your family. With you laying down, relaxed, this helps you quiet your mind and you may feel more sensations. Again, the energy will go where it needs to go regardless of what you are doing. Intentions are the most important thing. I will be in a quiet space, sending the healing energy to you.
We will be in contact on the phone, Zoom or text message. I will contact you when the session starts and when I have completed the session.

As I strive to be the light in the darkness, I will be sending Reiki to those who sign up.
This will be similar to a group session, except we are all in the comfort of our homes. I am choosing to notify you by text message instead of a group Zoom session, because I want you to truly let go and relax. Ideally, you will either be asleep or drift off to sleep during this session. A text message is a gentle way of communication without the need to look at a screen (log off, log on, mute mics etc.)
Why 9pm EST?
That is when I have the availability. During this time, I am focusing on what I can control and how I can help. This is simply the time that I have in my day to do a session like this.
I will text you are 7:30pm EST for a reminder; 8:55pm to let you know I am about to begin; 9:16pm to let you know I have finished the session. You do not need to reply to the text messages but are welcome to if you like.
How to prepare?
Find a place of comfort. I say this because I know not everyone has a warm bed to sleep in. I am here for you. Find a place to lay down. This can be your bed, a couch, or a mat on the floor. Grab a blanket and a pillow if you desire. You can have calming music playing. The idea is to be comfortable. If this is not an option for you, the limit the amount of Earthly distractions. Be mindful of the 15 minutes that energy will be flowing to you. If you are going about your day, the energy is still flowing to you. You may feel more relaxed, tingly or nothing at all. Trust, allow and breathe.
Once you are comfortable, take a few deep breaths and let go. Imagine each muscle in your body relaxing and all tension flowing out. This is time for you to just be. No expectations. No to-do lists. Just lay down, close your eyes and breathe.
How does this session differ from your Paid Distant Reiki Session?
Those sessions are longer, and individual. We will chat before and after about what you have going on in your life and a detailed report of the energy work I did. I also cater your session to healing particular things. Is it more powerful? no. It is the same strength of healing except on an individual level instead of a group. Think if you a attend a group fitness class vs. a personal 1 on 1 trainer. Your body is still getting stronger, however, one is more personal.
Do I have to donate?
No. It is suggested as an equal exchange of energy, but donation is not required. This is my way of helping. Donations are appreciated. People tend to value what they pay for, as it is an exchange of energy.
How do I donate?
I will send you and email and a text message with my PayPal and Venmo information. I encourage you to give what you are being pulled to give. This may be $0 but a message of gratitude. This may be a monetary amount. We are both open to receiving the energy exchange. I am not doing this to gain profit, but to be the bright light in the darkness. To offer a moment of peace and tranquility in a messy world filled with things we have no control over. You are important to me.
How many times can I sign up?
As much as you like! I do have a limited space of slots.
How do I sign up?
Simply click "Schedule an Appointment" at the top of the page.
Scroll down until you see "Bedtime Reiki for all" and click "Book Now". A form will appear for you to include basic information and hit "Book Now".
If the option for today is not available, you may use this Google Form. The online scheduling service that I use does not allow for same day appointments to be scheduled. I do not want you to wait for healing.
